SERVING OUR SENIORS
(SOS MINISTRY)
Serving our Seniors
Contact: Leni Duffy
We’re excited to announce a new ministry at St. Paul of the Cross—Serving Our Seniors (SOS)—created to walk alongside the older adults in our parish and community. Inspired by Christ’s call to care for one another, especially the aging, this ministry offers compassionate, practical, and spiritual support to those in their later years of life.
Our mission is to develop a volunteer-based team to provide outreach through fellowship and build resources to support our senior/elderly parishioners.
SOS Ministry’s goal is to serve in three key area:
1. Health & Wellness
2. Local Resource Guidance
3. Spiritual Wellness
Currently we are seeking individuals who can assist in the following way:
· Those with knowledge or expertise in health awareness/prevention to educate seniors or their family members in the form of presentations, workshop, or bulletin write-ups.
· Those with expertise or experience on elder issues/needs who can assist to build resources in the community and provide a referral platform for our parishioners of available services
· Those with a compassionate heart who would like to assist with senior specific liturgies, or partner with Ministry of Care for home communion.
If you have a heart for our senior community, your gifts of time, talent, and ideas are welcomed; as we serve those valuable parishioners who served before us.
For more information or to express interest in volunteering, please contact Leni at
