HELP & HEALING
Anointing of the Sick
Contact: The Parish Office
About the Sacrament
The anointing of the sick is administered to bring spiritual and even physical strength during an illness, especially near the time of death. It is most likely one of the last sacraments one will receive. A sacrament is an outward sign established by Jesus Christ to confer inward grace. In more basic terms, it is a rite that is performed to convey God’s grace to the recipient, through the power of the Holy Spirit.
Annointing of the Sick at St. Paul of the Cross
If you have a loved one who is gravely ill and would like to receive this Sacrament, please call the rectory (847) 825-7605, and a priest will visit as soon as possible.

Come join us to experience hope and healing simply by listening and sharing experiences and insights with others. We will be using the Divorce and Beyond book and videos from the DivorceCare program. Registration and a small fee of $25 is required for the book and materials.
