The mission of the St. Paul of the Cross Apostolate of Women (AOW) is to work together with our Pastor to make the kingdom of God come alive in our community.

The Apostolate of Women, the women’s group at St. Paul of the Cross, has been bringing women of the parish together since 1941. It is committed to serving our parish and surrounding community while growing our faith, enjoying each other’s friendships, and helping those in need.

The AOW Women’s Group has three main pillars: Spiritual, Service, and Social. Each pillar has a leader who oversees various activity groups.  Below are some examples (truly, something exists for everyone):

  • Spiritual Pillar – Women’s Retreat, AOW Mass, Honor Guard

  • Service Pillar – Volunteer opportunities at locations such as Feed My Starving Children, Uncle Pete’s Ministry and Our Lady of Angels

  • Social Pillar – Fish Fry, St. Nick’s, Fair Trade Market, Donut Sunday

In addition, the AOW also consists of small groups, called guilds, that operate independently under the umbrella of the AOW. They each have their own mission and focus. Some have been around for decades and others are newer.

Choose the level of your involvement. AOW members can serve on Pillar committees, lead events or guilds, or just attend events. Our goal is to provide more opportunities for involvement at the AOW level - whether you are in a guild or not - while still supporting the active guilds.

If you are interested in joining this welcoming group of women, please fill in the registration form by clicking on the "Submit a Registration Form" link on the right of this page. Please email aow.spc@gmail.com with any questions.
