Baptism

Baptism at St. Paul of the Cross

About the Sacrament

Paragraph 1213 of the Catechism of the Catholic Church tells us "Holy Baptism is the basis of the whole Christian life, the gateway to life in the Spirit (vitae spiritualis ianua), and the door which gives access to the other sacraments.

Through Baptism we are freed from sin and reborn as sons of God; we become members of Christ, are incorporated into the Church and made sharers in her mission: Baptism is the sacrament of regeneration through water and in the word.”

Baptisms at St. Paul of the Cross

At St. Paul of the Cross infant Baptism ceremonies are held every Sunday at 1:15 p.m. in the upper church. First time parents are required to attend a Baptismal Preparation Class which is offered on the fourth Thursday of every month at 7 p.m. Please call the parish office to register your child for Baptism.
