World Mission Sunday – Annual Second Collection

Celebrating 100 years of World Mission Sunday
World Mission Sunday was established by Pope Pius XI in 1926. This anniversary is an opportunity to celebrate with renewed missionary zeal. Last year, Pope Leo XIV appealed to us, “Please help me help missionaries everywhere.” That’s what World Mission Sunday is about: helping Pope Leo care for the 1,130 missionary dioceses and territories under his supervision.
Our prayers and support will be a great help in bringing the Gospel of God’s love to everyone. The second collection we take up this weekend helps extend the Church’s evangelizing work to missionary areas where the Gospel is being proclaimed for the first time, as well as to places where the church is too young, persecuted, or poor to support herself. Thank you for responding to Pope Leo’s renewed call to help him support missionaries to the ends of the earth!
You may drop off your donation at the rectory, place it in the collection basket at Mass, or give online at www.givecentral.org/location/133/event/27621. If donating by check, please write “World Mission Sunday” in the memo line. Thank you!
