It is a real pleasure for me to be here, serving as the Operations Director for Saint Paul of the Cross.
I first visited the parish as a boy with my father. At the time, I was a student at Mary, Seat of Wisdom and was amazed to learn that there was another Catholic parish in Park Ridge!
Below is a brief summary of some of the things we have recently completed and what we are currently working on:
The church chiller has been successfully installed and is now fully operational. This project is the culmination of many months of work that began long before I arrived.
The replacement of the school stage curtain will ensure permanent compliance with fire codes. We are also replacing the school’s 25-year-old stage sound system.
We are in the process of receiving quotes from approved Archdiocesan vendors to replace the fire protection systems in all parish buildings to meet new fire code requirements.
Projects scheduled for this summer include:
Seal coating of the main parking lot in early July, as well as asphalt replacement in both the Security Lot and the Tiger Lot.
Upgrading church lighting and installing new LED lights in areas across the campus, which will significantly reduce energy consumption.
Cleaning, restoring, and sealing the statues of the Sacred Heart and Saint Paul of the Cross.
Mortar, concrete, and brick paver restoration in and around the church and campus, as needed.
The New Annex Project
The New Annex Project continues to move forward. We are currently meeting with and selecting key contractors to ensure the highest level of quality and timely completion within the defined budget. A new plat of survey is being ordered, after which we will begin the process of applying for building permits with the City of Park Ridge.
Stay tuned for updates in upcoming bulletins!
Thank you!
Mike
