The Girl Scouts of St. Paul of the Cross Parish attended Mass on Sunday to pray and receive medals and patches in recognition of the religious awards they have been working on this year. The activities required to achieve these awards may include readings, field trips, hands-on activities, discussions, and interviews with adults in a particular field, culminating in a service project.
There are 186 Girl Scouts in eight troops, ranging from Kindergarten to High School levels, at St. Paul of the Cross School. For their service project, the girls in all the troops chose to work together on a project to make Christmas a bit brighter for children and families in a small village in Honduras. They assembled 189 Christmas packages filled with toys, clothing, art supplies, and sports equipment and added enough school supplies—donated by students at St. Paul School—to last these children the entire school year.
Fourth-grade leader Tiffany Braun and her daughters flew to Honduras to deliver over 1,200 pounds of gifts to the families of Roatán, a small, poverty-stricken village. They were met with tears of joy at the generosity of the students at St. Paul of the Cross.

THE GIRL SCOUT LAW
I will do my best to be honest and fair, friendly and helpful, considerate and caring, courageous and strong,
and responsible for what I say and do and to respect myself and others, respect authority, use resources wisely, make the world a better place, and be a sister to every Girl Scout.
