Counseling and Shelter Services

Covid-19 has increased the incidence and intensity of anxiety, depression, and domestic violence. Please be informed about available services for needed counseling or shelter.

A recent CDC Study cited in this US News and World Report article notes that anxiety and depression are on the rise during the pandemic, as are an alarming number of people that have contemplated suicide. If you know or suspect someone is a victim, please check on them! If they are in immediate need, help them contact any of the services below:

    • 911
    • The National Domestic Violence Hotline: 800-799-7233
    • The Illinois Domestic Violence Hotline: 877-863-6338
    • The Domestic Violence Outreach of the Archdiocese of Chicago (website)
    • Catholic Charities Counseling: 312-655-7725 (website)
    • NAMI Chicago: 833-626-4244 (website)
    • Archdiocese of Chicago Mental Illness Ministiries: 773-525-0453 x221 (website)
