Where Profession Meets Faith

loquatetvlogobannerYou are invited to the St. Paul of the Cross Seminar Series. The Seminar Series is about using the gifts that God gave you to build up community.
Each series will feature speakers who will tell real life stories and how their faith played an important role. Hearing many different stories in our
Seminar Series may increase connections among us that will bring us all closer together increasing our sense of community. Each speaker will
answer questions from the audience at the end of their presentation.

The event's social benefit is getting to know each other better. The more we know about each other, the more opportunity we have for being connected.
The Seminar Series will take place on the 3rd Wednesday of every month in Holy Family Chapel (lower level of main church) at 7:30 PM.

Our next event will be on Wednesday, May 16, 7:30 – 9 p.m. in Holy Family Chapel

About our Speakers:

Richard Grebenc, a teacher and graduate of Franciscan University of Steubenville, will talk of an experience he had while teaching Theology of the Human Person. Hear his story of a student who was taking his class and her thoughtful response. Hear why Rich above all appreciates class participation that fosters openness and respect for each other, while he seeks to present the Church’s teaching in a true light.

Eleanor Reily, Soapmaker and entrepreneur, will tell us how her grandmother showed her how to make and use natural home remedies. Hear how the Holy Spirit guided her from self-care to helping others, by creating soaps, and body products with no chemicals, perfumes or artificial ingredients. Hear this deeply intuitive Eucharistic Minister blend God’s abundance in a balanced spiritual and worldly way.

Brian Fergus, a sale representative will tell us of an experience he had “helping science teachers inspire students to explore the world.” He received a large order from a teacher at 1 pm and working together with other divisions, he shipped the order complete by 4:30 pm. Hear how the corporate culture, which makes no distinction between inside clients and outside clients, helps make his job easier and more fulfilling. Hear how his deep Catholic faith reinforces him at work to avoid gossip, help new employees, and build a strong work ethic within his supportive work community.

In an evening we hear from three presenters from a particular group. Each presenter will talk about their own profession and where their profession meets their faith. Knowing the presenters provides an insight into what they may bring to their group and to our community. Supporting another begins with hearing their story.

What will not change is putting God first in our snappy format: three presenters, 20 minutes per presenter, one hour “Where Profession Meets Faith.”  The event’s social benefit is getting to know each other better. The more we know about each other, the more opportunity we have for being connected. Go to Loquate.TV to hear these “Inspiring and Practical” talks. Better yet, come in person. The Seminar Series will take place on the third Wednesday of every month. If you have any questions, please contact Mary Ann or Jeff Liautaud (773) 594-9234. We look forward to seeing you.
