Our St. Paul of the Cross Parish Bible Study began in November studying the book of Matthew. We have formed 16 groups with 120 participants. Groups meet once a month during the days or evenings to discuss one chapter. We are using a variety of study materials including the Bible, a study guide The Gospel of According to Matthew by Daniel J. Harrington, and the Ignatius Catholic Study Bible -The Gospel of Matthew as a reference book for the facilitators. Father Britto sends us monthly Reflection/Study questions with a brief brief chapter overview and he also has offered seminars these past two months with additional inspiration and understanding. The "General Meeting for In-Home Study Groups" will be the kick-off for the formation of bible study groups. These groups will be meeting once a month in parishioners' homes. The Gospel of Matthew will be the first book studied.
