Reconciliation/Confession

The Sacrament of Reconciliation is also known as the sacrament of Penance or Confession. Throughout the Gospels, there are various times when Jesus tells people that their sins are forgiven and to go and sin no more. In John 20:22-23, Jesus tells the apostles "Whose sins you forgive, they are forgiven them". The purpose of going to confession is many fold, from recognizing and accepting responsibility for our actions, to understanding that our actions, especially those of a sinful nature can affect others, ourselves and our relationship with God in an unhealthy way, even if we are not aware of it directly, but the prime purpose is to reconcile to God.

The Sacrament of Reconciliation is Celebrated at St. Paul of the Cross Church:

Monday-Friday 8-8:15 AM (Reconciliation Room in vestibule)

Thursday 3:30-5:00PM (Opus Dei Priest)

Saturday 3:00-4:00PM
